Short video by Pam Warhurst : "How we can eat our landscape"
With energy and humour, co-founder of Incredible Edible Pam Warhurst tells at the TEDSalon the story of how she and a growing team of volunteers came together to turn plots of unused land into communal vegetable gardens, and to change the narrative of food in their community.

Incredible Edible Network
The Incredible Edible Network was set up to inspire new groups across
the UK and to provide more people with information about food activism
and community resilience.
It also aims to support Incredible Edible Groups who have already got started through the provision of an on-line platform where members can share information and advice; through tool-kits and resources; and via live events such as road-shows, workshops and presentations.
As an umbrella organisation, the Incredible Edible Network looks to promote sustainable food production and consumption in local and national policy, practice and decision-making.

It started in Todmorden, a small town in the North of England, in 2007 by a like-minded group of individuals. Importantly, this was not about waiting for hand outs, or some officials to give the green light but to take responsibility and essentially get going. The focus of their attentions was food. Everyone understands food. Food could get people talking; even better, it could inspire people to take action.
Beginning with small herb gardens and community plots, the group has since founded a food knowledge hub and fishery at the local high school, as well as a market garden for young people to grow and sell their own produce. It has also backed successful campaigns such as encouraging the keeping of free range chickens and bees.
